Prehistoric Cave Discovered Near Tabass of Iran

TABASS, Khorassan Province, -- The cultural heritage authority of Khorassan Province said here today that a cave that is probably 50 million years old was discovered near the city of Tabass last week. Mahmoud Toghraee, an expert of the the cultural heritage authority of the province said the cave had developed probably during the second geological period of the earth about 50 million years ago.

He said experts were delegated to the cave to file a report of heir scientific findings. (IRNA)
